The ultrasonic sensor is used to determine the time at which a car stops before and pulls away after a pit stop.
Used in combination with the CLS control electronics, the ultrasonic sensor registers the exact time when the car arrives and departs.
As a result, extremely accurate recording of the pit stop duration is possible using the CLS control electronics. This data can be used for analysis and to determine areas of potential improvement.
